Beyond Vanilla: Exploring Wedding Cake Flavours

Flavours of Wedding Cakes Don’t Need to be Boring

Welcome to the world of wedding cakes where we ditch the traditional vanilla flavour and venture into something a little more deserved. After all, you’ve probably seen your cake quote and wondered why it’s so expensive! Yes, wedding cakes can be quite expensive and we totally support makers and bakers who charge their prices but then you need to deliver. I’ve worked at many venues where I’ve cut an externally supplied wedding cake and had the opportunity to taste them and I have been rocked and shocked at the awful quality of cakes that are out there in Melbourne. You deserve the absolute tastiest and BEST cake on your day.

If you're a couple with taste buds as adventurous as your love story, you're in for a treat. We're breaking free from the vanilla norm and diving headfirst into a universe of unique cake flavours that will leave your guests talking (and craving seconds). So, grab a fork and join us on this mouthwatering journey as we explore the sweet possibilities that go 'Beyond Vanilla' for your dream wedding cake!

Our current ‘Floral Summer Cake’ was created after receiving many custom requests and so, we wanted to provide an easy, simple way to order your own wedding cake (birthday cake, bridal/baby shower cake etc) and of course, provide options to cater to your dreams. The following list is just a taste into the world of flavours that you might like.

  • Hazelnut Black Forest: Dark chocolate flourless cake with sour blackcurrant + cherries, hazelnut malt crunch, chocolate chantilly, nutty buttercream

  • Summer Olive Oil: Murrnong Farm extra virgin olive oil sponge with blood orange + strawberries, coconut praline buttercream

  • Brown Chai: Spiced chai butter cake with passionfruit curd, gingerbread cream cheese, mandarin vanilla bean buttercream

  • Tiramisu: Coffee + cocoa bean mud-cake with boozy mascarpone, roasted hazelnut ganache, espresso caramel

  • Pavlova: Passionfruit white chocolate cake, raspberry curd, roasted coconut, vanilla bean chantilly, bruleed meringue

The possibilities are endless! The first question we have when client’s reach out for a custom cake, is what is your favourite dessert/icecream flavour or cocktail? Usually answering those questions, we can connect whether you prefer something fresh + fruity or prefer something deeper and rich.
